Welcome to Goldsborough Cricket Club
We are one of the premier clubs in the area fielding teams in the Nidderdale, Harrogate Evening and Whixley Leagues in summer, and the Harrogate indoor league in winter. We play friendly matches at home on some Sundays too. The club also runs three junior teams – under 9s, under 11s and under 13s.
We have an attractive ground in Goldsborough village, North Yorkshire with a great club house, bar, kitchen facilities and car park. Our club house is available to hire for events and parties.
The Secret Cricketer
In 2006, Goldsborough Cricket Club 2nds suffered the worst score in modern English recreational cricket. Their defeat to Dishforth Cricket Club resulted in ten of their batsmen getting out for a duck and the last man left stranded on zero. That year Dishforth went up a division, Goldsborough down a division. They've not met in a competitive match since.
In August 2011, NatWest staged a rematch giving Goldsborough a chance to win back some pride and Dishforth the opportunity to prove it wasn't a one off. To help Goldsborough avoid history repeating itself, NatWest gave them a secret weapon.... The Secret Cricketer.

We are always on the lookout for new players and sponsors, so if you are interested, or know someone who is, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. No matter what your standard the Club will give you the opportunity to play.
We also have a very active social membership. We have regular functions at the club throughout the year and our club house and bar are open whenever there is a game of cricket on (so in summer up to five nights a week!).
If you have any questions or queries about the club, would like to become a member or sponsor or would like to enquire about hiring our club house, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
